How long has
this school been operating?
ITQAN Integrated Islamic School and Itqan Islamic Montessori have been operating since 2007.
Is it
different from other religious schools?
The school provides religious classes such as Quranic
Studies and Islamic studies as to other religious schools. We also
teach academic subjects such as those taught in regular school. It is a complete educational facility that
teaches all forms of knowledge as we believe that all knowledge comes
from Allah s.w.t. The difference is that we integrate the Islamic
content into all subjects as well as the general school environment and
emphasize on adab and akhlaq of the children, insha-Allah.
What
curriculum do you use?
Preschool : Islamic Montessori curriculum
Primary : Singapore (for Lower
Primary) & KBSR (for Upper Primary)
What
examinations will my children sit for?
Primary students will took UPSR. The school also conduct internal
exams from time to time. ICAS International Test has been introduced to
student since 2009. The participation of ICAS is not compulsary.
What medium
of instruction do you use?
The school uses English as its main medium of instruction. Arabic is
also emphasized and practiced regularly. Bahasa Melayu is taught as a
subject.
What school
holidays does the school follow?
The school follows the Malaysian government school holidays and most
public holidays as well as Selangor state public holidays. If for
whatever reason we choose to operate on a public holiday, it will be
replaced with another date that is deemed more appropriate for the
school. Parents will be informed in advance in such circumstances.
Does the
school provide transport?
No. However, there are a few transport providers and the school will
introduce parents to them. Parents are to make your own arrangements
with these providers.
Does the
school have excursions?
Yes, excursions and field trips are part of our learning program. A
minimum two excursions will be conducted a year, insha-Allah.
Does the
school conduct extra activities?
Yes, among the extra activities offered are speech & drama, cooking,
art & craft and adventures & ibadah camp.
